Accessibility Statement
Last updated: January 2026
Shadesblue is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Our Commitment
This website strives to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards. We follow best practices for accessible design and development.
Accessibility Features
- Keyboard Navigation: All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard. Use Tab to navigate, Enter/Space to activate, and arrow keys where appropriate.
- Skip Links: A "Skip to main content" link appears when you press Tab, allowing keyboard users to bypass navigation.
- Focus Indicators: Visible focus rings on all interactive elements for keyboard navigation clarity.
- Color Contrast: All text meets WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). Tested in both light and dark modes.
- Semantic HTML: Proper use of headings (h1-h6), landmarks (nav, main, article), and native elements (button, a) for better screen reader support.
- ARIA Labels: Descriptive labels on icon-only buttons and links. ARIA attributes used appropriately for custom components.
- Alt Text: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are properly marked with aria-hidden.
- Reduced Motion: Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting. Users can also toggle this via the accessibility menu.
- Responsive Design: Content is readable and functional at all viewport sizes and zoom levels (tested up to 200%).
Accessibility Menu
Click the accessibility icon (universal access symbol) in the top-right corner to customize your experience:

- Reduce motion and animations
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following accessibility considerations:
- Some third-party embedded content (if any) may not be fully accessible and is outside our direct control.
- We are continuously testing and improving. If you encounter any barriers, please let us know.
